Worry Outline

Matthew 6:25-34; 1 Corinthians 7:32

– Jesuh le common people (Mi har si aa fiang tukmi a si)

– Carpentr’s family, life’s necessity, food, clothes, shelter

– “Na thin phang hlah” timi biafang hi voi 366 kan Bible ah ai tial an ti (Lloyd Ogilvie). A cheu nih voi 365 ai tial an ti. Chim duhnak cu hihi a si. Pathian nih amah a zumtu hna cu, “Thaizing kong ah na thin phang hlah” tiah nifatin a kan ti zungzal tinak a si (Mtt. 6:25-33).

– Pek lai ding si zong ah thin phan “That’s your first worry.”

The IGNORANT worry because they don’t know enough. The INTELLECTUALS worry because they know too much. The POOR worry because they don’t have any money.

The RICH worry about losing the money they have.

The OLD worry because they’re facing death.

The YOUNG worry because they’re facing the future. WE ALL WORRY!!!

I was a prisoner of my own worries… and because of the worry that overcame me and imprisoned me; I was incapable of experiencing JOY in one of the most exciting times of my life. My worry robbed me of that! (Jordan Easley, nau rawh)

Julius Caesar was correct when he said that ”as a rule, men worry more about what they can’t see than what they can see.” Dr. Charles Mayo of the Mayo Clinic

”To worry about what we can’t help is useless; and to worry about what we can help is stupid.”

Experts say 40% of the things we worry about never happen and 30% of the things we worry about, you cannot change and 12% of the things you worry about are needless health worries.

– Upat deuh hnu ah i chirmi pakhat cu lungre rak theih tuk a si. Nun a fir, chan a tawi

– Thing turns out well sometimes, and bad things happen anyway.

I. SENSELESS (Rawl)

-If God created your life, taking care of your life is peanuts to God. Feed you, birds.

II. USELESS (Muisam, thilthuam)

– Ho tal nan i san in nan i niamter kho maw?

– Khansan a duhmi, khansan a buainak

– Hezekiah would have prayed for long life. It was during those years that Manasseh was born, who was probably the wickedest king who ever lived.

God is the one who is in charge of life. God is the one who knows how long we are to live. It is God who can add or take away from the length of our life. Worry cannot add to your life, but I’m convinced that worry can take away from your life. I am convinced that worry can cause your life to be shortened. If you labor with the whole problem of anxiety and with care. Worry is useless. It doesn’t do any good (Jerry Vines)

– a rocking chair and treadmill

– Pangpar zong a uai i oven ah ah an khangh

III. FAITHLESS: Peter nih Jesuh hmu loin thlichia lawng a hmuh.

Let me ask you a question. How many of you have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? That means then that you have entrusted your soul into the hands of the Lord Jesus. How many of you believe that because you have trusted your soul into the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you are eternally secure and that you are going to heaven to be with Jesus

-The first cure for worry is to put first things first. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness” (vs. 33)

– let the future be the future.

– If you live long enough something bad is going to happen.

Most of us crucify ourselves between two thieves. Yesterday and Tomorrow

Heb. 4:16 says that God will give us grace to help in the time of need.

Deut. 33:25 says, “As thy days, so shall thy strength be.”

Lam. 3:22-23 says this. “His compassions are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.”

– Nazi lungre theihnak I’m ticking 60 ticks a minute, 3,600 ticks an hour, \ 86,400 ticks a day, tick 31,536,000 ticks a year. I can’t do it. I’ll wear out.” The poor old clock got to worrying about it. I’ll just tick one tick at a time, I won’t worry about all the ticks down the road.” The clock was happy again, ticking one tick at a time.

Philippians 4:6-7 – Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Unstable emotionally… Unstable Mentally… Unstable spiritually!!!

Paul knew that we would have problems and issues and sin to deal with-He did too! But he tells us, ‘We are to worry about NOTHING… BECAUSE God expects us to pray about everything.’

The way to worry about nothing is to pray about everything

[Luke 18:1] says that we need, ”to pray always and not give up.” The Lord tells us… Worry about nothing and pray about everything!

Isaiah 26:3-4
3 You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, because in the Lord, the Lord himself, is an everlasting rock!

Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

Romans 5:1 that, ”We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Proverbs 12:25 – Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.
